It's true that some vintage boutiques also sell shoes. Sometimes these shoes are even beautiful models that we'd dream of seeing on our feet. The other day, for example, at a flea market, a pair of Chanel pumps caught my eye... it was the iconic model with the patent toe and embossed logo... But this pair was very expensive, and what about the renovation and its cost? So the point is this: yes, some boutiques have vintage shoes, sometimes in very good condition. However, these are not renovated, so you have to "know your stuff" and believe in the product or in your skills to be able to restore them. Then, the price charged is often high... it's up to us to see if we add the service of a cobbler and the price of the products that will almost certainly be needed before seeing this pair as it might have been in its youth.

The cobbler's role following a magnificent find is, of course, crucial. Crucial because they will act as an advisor: how to moisturize this pair that may have been forgotten for a long time? Is the sole still valid? Will a protective sole be enough, or should a full resole be considered? And the interior, what should I do? Should the insole be changed? They will then be able to carry out the repairs you have decided upon.
